Straylight Run

John Nolan-Mistakes We Knew We Were Making.

Not the best photo in the world, but it marks one of the best things that has ever happened. We drove for 4 hours each way. Waited in line for 3 more. And I got to watch Straylight Run from the front row. It. Was. Incredible. They only had a 7 song set, but that didn't matter to me.
1. Mistakes We Knew We Were Making
2. Watch the World Die
3. It Never Gets Easier
4. Soon We'll Be Living In the Future
5. Ten Ton Shoes
6. Existentialism On Prom Night
7. Hands In the Sky
I almost peed my pants. After they were done, Jasmine and I went to get some merch. Who did I run into??? Will Noon himself. So tall. So skinny. Giant fro. Awesome. Got a high five, told him about the drive. He told me about Missoula (they stayed there the night before.) He likes bums in Montana. They aren't like the ones in Denver or San Francisco, who "might stab you, or make you do meth." Strangest conversation I've ever had.
Then we watched Anberlin. They had a good show. I liked them.
Here's the coolest part. I was just waiting with Jasmine, trying to find John Nolan. Just sitting, minding my own business. Then BAMMMM!!! He walks in front of me. Two feet away. I had no idea what to do. So of course, I get his attention, and get a high five. I didn't know what to say. I didn't know what to think. At all. Jasmine got a high five too. All I could think was, "JohnNolan'srightinfrontofmethisissoawesomethisissoawesomethisissoawesomethisissoaweseme."
And we got to shake his hand. I could've said anything to him. I could've said, "Hey, this is super awkward. I don't know what to say to you and I'll regret this the rest of my life. I can say anything right now just to make noise so I don't look like a complete idiot."
Don't worry, I didn't say anything. I just stood there like a moron.
I don't care. I touched John Nolan. That's all that matters.
Life is good.
